This hotel is in a very convenient location. A block away from the metro, Louvre, many restaurants and cafes, it was definitely a good choice for us to get around Paris easily. The hotel is very clean which is important to us. The staff were really nice, always trying to help us for whatever we needed. It was especially helpful when we asked if my sister and her family could put her luggage with ours since we were spending the day together and leaving together that day. The hotel is a bit older and could use some upgrades like changing the carpets and some decor, but honestly we didn't spend a lot of time there except to sleep. All in all we would stay there again if we came back. We didn't eat the breakfast there so we don't know if it was good or not.

The hotel was wonderful. The location is second to none and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. A special shout out to Ahmed and the blonde lady who helps with breakfast. They went out of their way to help us. The hotel is a bit tired looking but the room was spacious and clean. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough and we would go back in a heartbeat.

This place is a shabby, depressing dump. One step above the SRO Jake and Elwood lived in in the Blues Brothers movie. No attempt at hospitality or civility. Sleep late your room won’t get cleaned. Need ice? They don’t care. You have to go to cafe (very nice staff) next door and ask. Lipton tea bags in the room! Lipton!! Really?!? No coffee in the room. Rooms are depressing. Lobby depressing. Save your trip and stay somewhere else.

Other than great location and an ok continental breakfast, there was not much to recommend this hotel. Website photos very misleading as rooms run down and looking shabby - very much a two star hotel at three star prices. Room was tiny, toilet was extremely small. Building was old so passageways were narrow and elevator was small and did not inspire confidence. Arrived on a hot day to be told the air conditioning wasn’t functioning. I had to be very firm in requesting a fan, which was then was begrudgingly provided. I thought this poor customer service as we were booked for three nights. I would not recommend at all.

Great location disappointing room

I absolutely loved the location of this hotel as I was travelling with children and we walked to the Louvre, restaurants and shops. Public transport is nearby with M1 station a short stroll. The room we stayed in was small and very shabby chic. I booked a three bed room and got a double bed plus pull out armchair which was different from the photos where 3 beds were shown. I tried to get used to it but it was much more shabby than chic. The jacuzzi bathtub was scary to shower in and looked like it leaked. After a couple of days I realised that one of the 2 grey switches on the wall by the entrance was the master switch (no instructions anywhere). The room was stuffy and unbreathable at night until I figured that out since we would switch all the lights off at night and expect the aircon to be running (it was disactivated as the master switch was off). Even with the master switch on there was barely any aircon, and nights were still stuffy. A shame as the location is really great but we won't be returning to les bons enfants.
